Imagine Dragons February 14, 2014 Nico Vega and The Naked and Famous opened for Imagine Dragons on 2/14/14 at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Aja Volkman, lead singer of Nico Vega and also wife of Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds, started off the night. When “Young Blood” began, the crowd joined in singing along with the powerful vocals of lead singer Alisa Xayalith from The Naked and Famous. This popular tune pumped up the crowd and elevated the energy level in anticipation for the main event. Beams of colored light danced on their instruments as Dan ran back and forth across the stage belting out the lyrics of “Radioactive.” With that, the band walked off the stage much to dismay of the audience. The energy of the crowd multiplied with the increasing anticipation of the encore. Cheers swept over the crowd as “Nothing Left to Say” began. Balloons were thrown into the air filling the Forum. Dan danced around the stage while he popped the balloons with his drumstick, spraying confetti everywhere. This was a Valentine’s Day that Imagine Dragons fans would never forget. Their new album Smoke and Mirrors is available for preorder featuring singles “I Believe” and “Gold.” |
