Colin Louis Dieden of The Mowgli’s exclaimed, “I’m sorry ‘cause my grandma’s here, but I gotta say this. I want you to go fucking crazy!”

December 11, 2015

K. Flay and The Mowgli’s opened for Lights last night, Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. With her mellow, alternative beats, K. Flay got the crowd started and ready to dance. Next, The Mowgli’s came on with a feel-good attitude and upbeat music. Preaching the importance of love, vocalist, Katie Jayne Earl introduced the band, saying, “We are The Mowgli’s and we believe love can change the world. And it starts with you.” The band continued their set with songs filled with lyrics about feeling good and spreading love, closing with their hit song, “San Francisco”. Finally, Lights took the stage, continuing the upbeat mood. Living up to her name, the lighting on the stage was spectacular. Lights took a break in the middle of the set to perform a few acoustic songs including a rendition of “Meteorites” from her newest album,
Little Machines. Overall, the show had a feeling of inclusivity, love, and happiness.
