PVRIS rocked the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Saturday, September 7 with an intimate, sold out underplay!

After releasing two new songs this year, “Hallucinations” and “Death of Me,” the band embarked on an 8-date US tour playing smaller rooms than normal, which almost all instantly sold out months in advance.

This came as no surprise to the Bay Area. PVRIS’ last San Francisco show was at The Fillmore in March 2018, a 1200 person capacity room that the band had also sold out. The 650 lucky fans that got tickets to the Great American Music Hall show were in for a treat.

The crowd gave the band a warm welcome back to the city, going wild as soon as PVRIS took the stage. They started their set strong with “Mirrors.” Frontwoman Lynn Gunn’s powerful vocals pierced through the venue with the opening song and she continued to belt out the lyrics, unfaltering through the night. The band played both of their new tracks live as well as hits from White Noise and All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell.

Gunn commanded the stage, using every inch to walk around, play guitar and dance with the audience as flashing strobe lights matched the high energy. Backed by guitar/synth player Alex Babinski, bass/synth player Brian MacDonald and touring drummer Justin Nace, the band was unstoppable. Gunn played piano for one song and also walked back to Nace’s drum kit to play the cymbals on another song, both which the crowd loved.

Before going into “Holy,” Gunn asked fans to put their phones away for this one song and to present in the moment, to which everyone obliged. Gunn joined the audience in the crowd for “Death of Me” before the band went backstage to be called back out for an encore.

PVRIS returned to the stage to play “St. Patrick” before ending with “My House” as the crowd jumped up and down. Feeding off the audience, the band reciprocated giving it everything they had left.

The band continues to grew together both musically and with their stage presence, getting better on each run. The Bay Area once again eagerly awaits for PVRIS to return.
